Why Use Novus For Medical Detox?

The people who should come to Novus for medical detoxification are those who are taking drugs that are ruining their quality of life, and who are ready to regain control of their lives.

At Novus, we educate our patients as to how drugs affect them and encourage them to come off all drugs that are not medically required. Once off the drugs, many patients find that some of their symptoms were being caused by the drugs. For others, they may still have symptoms, but we encourage them to get medical help from a physician who seeks to cure the cause of a problem and not just use a pill to treat the symptom. As we tell our patients, why not try to find and handle the cause and if that fails, you can always take a pill.

If the person who came to Novus has an addiction problem, we educate the patient and their family that detoxification is really only the first step. Once they are safely detoxed, we help the patient find a rehabilitation facility that has verifiable statistics of at least 65% of their patients who complete their program do not revert to drug use. Unfortunately, many of the rehab facilities have as many as 75% to 90% of their patients reverting to drug use after they complete the program.

All of our patients are referred to appropriate professionals who will help them when they leave Novus.
