Dr. Agin, our medical director, is board certified in Family Medicine. He attended medical school at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Experienced in counseling and detoxification for both illicit drugs and prescription medications, Dr. Agin is one of a very select group of physicians certified in buprenorphine therapy. His research in nutrition and vitamin therapy supports an important component of our detox program.

Kent has over 20 years of management experience and over 15 years of executive level experience developing and leading accredited social services programs addressing diverse human needs including addiction, homelessness, poverty, trauma, and family reunification. He came to Novus drawn by its mission and vision to help others and to pursue excellence in the field of recovery.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ball State University and later received his Masters Degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. He also completed a two year certified Executive Leadership Program sponsored by the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business.

Angela has spent her twenty-two year career helping those who need assistance. After graduating from Hoftstra University’s New College with honors, Angela entered the prestigious Adelphi University School of Social Work. Angela’s clinical skills are highly distinguished, having been cultivated through her varied work history to include: Licensed Psychotherapist in private clinical practice, Primary Therapist and Group Facilitator for a partial hospitalization program, Out Reach Counselor, Consumer Direct Care Provider, Senior Mental Health Practitioner for intensive on-site therapeutic services, and Independent Contract Therapist for group practice.

Angela has worked as an activist for human rights internationally and has served on the Board of Directors for the Pasco Mental Health Foundation. She is a Sho Don (black belt) in Issinryu Karate and a three time marathon runner.

Luis Rojas, the father of four, brings with him over 20 years of Operational/Production Management experience with a focus on process improvement in various different industries. Luis joined the United Sates Army at age 17. He served in the U.S. Army for over ten years as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Infantry participating in combat operations in the Middle East. Shortly after his tour of duty ended, he received his Bachelor's degree in Human Resources from Hawai’i Pacific University.

Drug issues had impacted his family on several occasions and when the opportunity arose at Novus for Luis to take on the Center Operations Manager position, he felt it was the perfect time to seize the opportunity to help. With Luis's skills in management, quality assurance, and process change, as well as an understanding of how drugs impact not just the individual but the family as well, he plans to support and forward the Novus goal of being the ideal detoxification center.

Cory has 10 years experience working as a manager in non-profit industries, coaching and motivating employees as well as engaging in relationship building, program development and fund-raising for police officers, firefighters and veterans.

Cory has his own life experience with drugs and alcohol and has been clean and sober for the past eleven years. His exposure to a number of treatment centers is invaluable to addicts looking to find sobriety.

His personal experience has made him committed to helping others find the new life he has found.

Growing up in the drug culture, Paul spent many years enmeshed in all that involves. After recovering from his own drug addiction, Paul has worked for the last 8 years to help others escape the control of drugs in their lives. His personal understanding of what it takes to decide to change one's life makes him invaluable for anyone needing a concerned and caring ear. Now happily married and a new father, Paul works every day to be a haven for those who want to be free of the influence of drugs.

Justin started out in admissions for a residential treatment center nearly 10 years ago. He handled admissions, interventions and worked with families from all over the United States and Canada. Since Novus's beginning, Justin has used Novus as his choice detox, referring patients in from all over the country for medical drug detox. Justin then decided to join Novus full time in 2012. Justin understands both sides of addiction. After a sports injury in the late 90's he was introduced to prescription drugs and struggled with getting off of them for multiple years. After his successful recovery over a decade ago, he has been helping people battling addictions since.
